I don't do epic landscapes and scenery very
well. But if you are interested in people of other cultures,
especially in the greater Middle East, I think perhaps you may want to
spend some time poking around my website.
In each of the past
7 years I have returned to the Greater Middle East for extended travels.
During each travel I
try to spend time in eastern Turkey, returning to visit and photograph my
Kurdish friends for whom I have developed a deep respect and affection.
This year I also visited Iraqi Kurdistan to add to my understanding of
the Kurds, and the Yezedi religion.
Also in
2007 I concentrated some of my efforts photographing
Kurdish hands,
believing that hands alone can reveal much about a person. It
turned out to be incredibly intrusive. Although often puzzled and
bemused about taking these photos, the Kurds were patient and gracious
