Őbet is a shaykh in the
esoteric Yezedi religion practiced by almost all of the few Kurds
living in Armenia. He was at first suspicious of me and an Armenian
friend as we walked through his village, but he then changed his
clothes and mind. He invited us into his home for thick Turkish coffee
and conversation about Yezedism. |
