In spite of the
growing globalization of economies and the incessant spread of
inexpensive goods from Asia, local small-scale manufacturing still
survives in eastern Turkey. With an economy of movement, the thin
metal worker sharpened the brush hook that he and a worker just beat
into final shape on the anvil.
