Metal Workers, Hama
2003

Behind Hama's
small souq (market) is a street lined with metal workers that
did everything from making huge copper pots, to welding gates, to
repairing 200-liter drums. The sound is deafening. I had
met the older man's son 2 years before. Aladin was ill at home
when I stopped by, but nonetheless it was an occasion for them to
take a break from work and drink tea. |
